The Central Florida Youth Jazz Ensembles developed out of a desire to bring a more unique musical experience to local middle and high school students in the Central Florida area. This ensemble provides students with a rare opportunity to work in a big band / combo ensemble setting, and learn from high school level instructors across the Orlando area. Students will come to appreciate how significant this American art form is and learn to 'speak the language' of JAZZ. Through listening, playing standards, and learning techniques in jazz improvisation, students will uncover how to cultivate their own musical voice in this incredible art form.
